🐃 Water Buffalo Cart Experience
The water buffalo cart connects you to Yubu Island.
Located just 400 meters from Iriomote Island, you can cross the shallow sea by cart—one of Okinawa’s most iconic experiences. Enjoy the sound of the sanshin and ocean waves while relaxing in true island time.
The ride takes about 15 minutes one way. Including a walk in the subtropical garden and lunch, the visit takes about 1.5–2 hours.

About Tickets:
The ticket includes a round-trip water buffalo cart ride and admission to the Yubu Island Subtropical Botanical Garden.
There is no fixed departure time for the water buffalo cart. Please check the timetable on the official website and complete check-in at least 10 minutes before departure.
During busy periods, you may be required to take the next available cart (especially between 10:00–11:00).
Operating Schedule:
The carts run approximately every 30 minutes; however, schedules may vary depending on crowd levels, weather, and tidal conditions.
Check-in Location:
Please check in at the “Yubu Island Water Buffalo Cart Station (Tabibito no Eki)” on the Iriomote side and present your mobile ticket to staff.
Ferry tickets between Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Ohara Port are not included. Please purchase separately.

Tidal Conditions:
Operations may be suspended for safety reasons during extremely high tides or severe weather (such as typhoons).
Pets:
Pets are allowed on the water buffalo cart. Please place them in a carrier or ensure they do not disturb other guests.
(Please consult in advance for large dogs.)
Clothing & Items:
You will walk around the island, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
In summer, strong sunlight is expected, so please prepare appropriate sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.).
